THE GREEN GOLD MINE IN THE HEART OF APULIA

FROM THE PASSION OF A PIONEER EMERGES THE ALOE ARBORESCENS PLANTATION BY ENERGIA DELLE PIANTE

Driven by a passion for medicinal plants and the products that can be derived from them— supplements, nutraceuticals, cosmetics—Dr. Pietro Rossi, a chemical expert and pharmacy graduate, has realized a dream: a cultivation and production company.

The portfolio includes over 250 products and a plantation with 300,000 aloe arborescens plants.

These plants are grown according to certified organic guidelines and are processed into juices and extracts immediately after harvesting, using cold processing to preserve the balance of various components.

“After graduating, I opened Italy’s first para-pharmacy with an attached herbalist shop,” says Pietro Rossi, owner of Energia delle Piante and Bio Botanicals. “I continued my training in homeopathy, iridology, and naturopathy, but I felt the need to go further.

So, I bought a farmhouse in the countryside of Villa Castelli, on the outskirts of Grottaglie (Taranto), and converted it into a 2,500-square-meter production site.

My encounter with Father Romano Zago and his recipe for aloe arborescens, as an adjuvant for patients undergoing treatment for oncological and radiotherapeutic conditions, detoxifying, tonic, and energetic, capable of restoring the body’s homeostasis, was pivotal.” The plantations cover approximately 10 hectares, five of which are under greenhouse conditions, and utilize clean energy from photovoltaic panels.

It is a “green” gold mine for those in need of ingredients for their own productions, from pharmaceuticals to supplements and cosmetics.
