Mediterranean Bluefin Tuna, the taste of the precious

The Mediterranean Bluefin Tuna is the newcamen at Sardanelli, which for the third consecutive year expands its offer with products that can satisfy the palates of the most demanding consumers by launching three new references: tuna fillets, bottarga and belly.

A brand belonging to the company Intertonno Srl, Sardanelli works and markets fish products at its factory in Maierato (VV), in Calabria, following the ancient tradition of master tuna farmers since 1817.

Thunnus thynnus chooses the warm waters of the Mediterranean to reproduce; it is a fine, large and sought-after tuna, with intense pink meat, rich in nutrients and a pleasant and decisive flavour.

The processing of tuna is the result of a skilful combination between the artisanal tradition of the ancient tuna masters and modern technologies, which has as its objectives the quality and safety of the product and the full satisfaction of consumers.

The olive oil fillets are obtained from the back and sides, the leanest parts of the tuna; the belly in olive oil is the noblest part of the tuna, that of the abdominal muscles, soft and particularly tasty. Finally, the bottarga is obtained from the drying, salting and long aging of tuna eggs.

The search for the perfect taste is a constant for Sardanelli, which puts all its efforts into the goal of satisfying the palates of the most demanding consumers, a mission whose fruits are also evidenced by the success, obtained in previous years, by the brand extension in the market of ready-made sauces and typical Calabrian products.

The new line of Mediterranean Bluefin Tuna is available on the company’s e-commerce
