La Molisana’s New Paper-Based Bag. Benefit For Environment And Consumers

A family-owned and operated pasta-making company in the heart of Italy is committed to providing a sustainable and fair products to benefit environment, farmers and consumers.

“A paper bag is first and foremost an ethicoriented choice and is determined to critically drive environmental impact on our packaging solutions. For more that two years La Molisana has been researching for an entirely recyclable and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper”, said Marketing Director Rossella Ferro.

La Molisana is making strides in reducing plastic production by about 230.000 per years and in creating a sustainable system based on integrated sustainability through- out the supply chain. Moreover Italian pasta factory, placed in Molise, is also offering options available to meet demand of consumers who consider brand’s environmental impact when making purchasing decisions and are willing to pay more for eco-friendly products. Sustainability speaks to the heart as it plays on “a connection for the greater good”.

La Molisana chooses FSC certified Kraft paper from forests around the world, a label which advocates the preservation of forests at global level thorugh rigorous procedures/ standards in management practices. It is made of natural cellulose, entirely recyclable and endowed with textile appeal: a mix that combines sustainability and style trends. Its natural rough texture conveys a positive feeling of “nature”, while its almost white color means a genuinely honest product and also lights up shop shelves.
