Vis Industrie Alimentari Purchases Mamma M’ama

All made in Italy transaction: it buys the startup of innovative bio fresh and frozen baby food for weaning VIS Industrie Alimentari, historical Italian company of frozen market, purchases 100% of Mamma M’Ama, the innovative startup founded by three mothers. For the first time in Europe has been launched the production and sale of bio fresh frozen and ready to eat baby food suitable for babies from 4 to 36 months.

An all-Italian transaction in the name of quality and authenticity of the baby food products towards which the interest of families is increasingly strong. The Mamma M’Ama baby food represents excellence of Italian food market and from now on they will enrich the Vis Industrie Alimentari catalogue, that it has always been characterized by attention to product and to a marked innovation spirit.

“We believe that the baby food sector can be for us a very interesting opportunity and coherent with the development and growth project followed for several years by our food group.” says Alessandro Nardi-Dei, CEO of VIS Industrie Alimentari. “the acquisition transaction of this Milan-based start-up has been concluded because we’ve identified in Mamma M’Ama an aligned project to our quality service and innovation view.”

These innovative baby foods, 100 Made in Italy, are one of a kind: cooked in a traditional way using only ingredients that mothers have in their refrigerators. Therefore, only natural controlled and seasonal products obtained from organic crops and farms, are used. These meals represent, to date, the only safe and healthy alternative to industrial and home- made baby food as they are controlled, certified balanced and very practical.

Moreover, it is not necessary to add any ingredients, just need to be heated on a water bath or in a microwave. That makes a difference on vacation and in all the meals occasions not at home. The VIS challenge with Mamma m’Ama will be make accessible to everyone a niche product, maintaining unchanged quality and innovation.
