PASTA FACTORY FABIANELLI: INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

It all starts from Tuscany where the wheat is farmed, where the spring water used to knead the semolina flows and where is situated the plant in which the pasta is processed and bronze drawn.

Here, in the city of Castiglion Fiorentino in the province of Arezzo, the Fabianelli family carries on the passion for pasta since 1860 and has since then been handed down for four generations to bring on the table the authentic taste of the most loved dish of the Italian cuisine.

Tuscany is the spirit of Pastificio Fabianelli and in particular Pasta Toscana brand because it embraces the authentic and genuine essence of this region. The selection of the best hard wheat cultivated according to the techniques of integrated agriculture is a guarantee of quality and a starting point for a certified short supply chain entirely developed inside the region.

Over the years, the continuous research for innovation has never been left behind. This is why the brands of the Tuscan pastificio – Pasta Fabianelli, Pasta Maltagliati, Pasta Toscana – bet on the perfect mix between respect for tradition and the desire for innovation.

In particular, the Pasta Toscana line – Classic, Organic Whole Wheat Om3, Organic egg pasta and Artigianale as well as the ready-made sauces of the Tuscan tradition – embodies all these aspects.

The traceability of the wheat is guaranteed by the QR-code on the back of every package of Pasta Toscana and allows the consumer to know, with the simple use of a smartphone, from which area the wheat used to produce the pasta inside that bag comes from.

The last innovation at Fabianelli’s are the new environmentally friendly packages thanks to a minor use of cellophane and the 100% recyclable paper in the Pasta Toscana packs. A concrete action that arises from the desire to significantly reduce environmental impact and that has made it possible to save more than 2000 kg of plastic in 2020.
