BOTTER SPA IS AN ENTREPRENEURIAL BUSINESS MODEL

Botter SPA was founded by Carlo Botter in Fossalta di Piave, in the province of Venice in 1928. Firstly born as a resale of bulk wines and demijohns, it became an entrepreneurial business model already in the late post-war period, when the two brothers Arnaldo and Enzo developed the trade in bottled wines expanding beyond national borders.

In the ‘80s, thanks to close collaborations with local producers, the company increased the offer by adding to Veneto wines new products from Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia and Sicily. At the end of the 90s, with the entry into the company of the third generation – Annalisa, Alessandro and Luca – Botter is witnessing a further evolution: a new business model is adopted, more suited to the needs of a dynamic and global market.

The production chain is also entirely in-house managed, leading to a stunning production. With 97.000.000 bottles produced in 2020, distribution in over 70 countries and a turnover of € 230.000.000,00 Botter SPA is today one of the largest producers and exporters of Italian wines: out of 20 bottles of Italian wine exported to the world, 1 is produced by Botter.
