BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCGBRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG

Technical Informations

GRAPES: Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello ) from the South-West slopes of Montalcino hills, at 440 meter above the sea level, great exposure to the sun ( 18 hours in July ).

FIRST VINTAGE: 2004

DENSITY: 5000 vines per Hectare.

GRAPEHARVEST: By hand in small cases, with fermentation starting no more than 2 hours after picking.

VINIFICATION: Fermentation with remontage two to three times daiy for about 12 days at condition and controlled temperature. Maceration for about 3 days followed by maleolatic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 8 months with temperature control.

AGEING: For about 3 years in oak Slovenian Barrels of 20Hl with remontage as necessary, than,after bottling without filtering and/or clarification The wine is refined for a further year in temperature controlled cellars.

COLOUR: red ruby with garnet bright reflexes

YEARLY PRODUCTION: About 6.500 x 750ml bottles with some 375 ml and 1.500ml.

BOUQUET: This Brunello flows from the glass with red fruits, plum, cherry and wood aromas.

TASTE: Dry, Fruity tannins smoothing with ageing, beautifully persistent

AGEING POTENTIAL: With proper storing 15 to 20 years.

BOUQUET: This Brunello Riserva open 4/5 hours before drinking,flows from the glass intensive fruits of forest, plum, mature cherry and wood aromas.

TASTE: Dry, Fruity tannins smoothing with ageing, long persistence

AGEING POTENTIAL: With proper storing more of 30 years.

YEARLY PRODUCTION: About 9.500 x 750ml bottles with some 375ml and 1.500ml.

BOUQUET: This Rosso is harmonic and elegant well balanced flowing red flowers, fresh cherry and slow wood aromas.

TASTE: Dry, Fruity tannins smoothing with ageing, beautifully persistent

AGEING POTENTIAL: With proper storing 10 to 15 years.

AWARDS: top award from Douja D’Or from 2004 to 2011 vintages
