The soul of the Tuscan Maremma

by Lara Landi
Owner and Legal Representative
of Tenuta Eleonora di Toledo

Located in Campiglia Marittima, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, Tenuta Eleonora di Toledo represents a project that combines agricultural production, hospitality and territory-driven experiences.

Lara Landi, owner and legal representative, shares the vision of a company focused on sustainability, short supply chain and authentic hospitality.

What makes Tenuta Eleonora di Toledo unique?

It is a place where time seems to stand still, while offering every modern comfort.

Our Tenuta represents authentic Tuscan hospitality. It is not just a stay, but a sensory experience among centuries-old olive groves and the scent of the nearby sea. Our mission is to preserve this corner of Tuscany through environmentally respectful agriculture.

What is the philosophy of the Tenuta?

Respect for the land is the guiding principle behind all activities.

The company produces high-quality organic Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, based on a short and sustainable supply chain. The method is built on three key elements: short supply chain, cultivar mapping and natural storage.

Olives are hand-picked and milled within a few hours to obtain an oil rich in polyphenols and with an authentic Tuscan character.

Guests are welcomed with guided tastings, walks among the olive trees and visits to the mill, conceived as a true “oil cellar”.

Every detail is designed to offer an immersive experience inspired by Eleonora di Toledo, a visionary Renaissance figure.

You are also a renowned location for art and events. How do they integrate with nature?

Suggestive spaces such as the olive mill, designed like a Roman domus, and the olive garden provide the ideal setting for civil weddings and corporate events. These are complemented by Casale Mirello, with its courtyard surrounded by trees, and a small deconsecrated stone church, perfect for symbolic ceremonies.

Through the Toledo Lab project, the estate also supports young artists, transforming the mill into a cultural hub where creativity and conviviality meet. The estate positions itself as a destination for those seeking privacy, quality and an authentic Maremma experience.

By combining agricultural production, hospitality and cultural experiences, Tenuta Eleonora di Toledo enhances the value of its territory and sustainability, positioning itself as a distinctive destination within the Tuscan landscape.
