The combination of tradition and innovation, combined with development of the region, are the ingredients for a new recipe from La Sassellese, whose new production facility was inaugurated in Maddalena, in the municipality of Sassello, on 30 June.
“This is the company’s third production site, bringing our total work space to 7000 square metres dedicated to production,” said Agata Gualco, Managing Director of the ADR (Azienda Dolciarie Riunite) Group. “We achieved our objective without any delays, inaugurating the facility after two and half years of hard work and following an investment of several million euro.”
The new site is an example of excellence in Italy: the structure has been entirely modernised, in terms of both its structural characteristics and through the conception, design, and purchase of a new multi-function production line which allows for a confectionery production that’s flexible, attentive to details, and fully in keeping with tradition.
La Sassellese is a brand that’s deeply connected to regional tradition. In this regard, the “ABCs” of its sweet products are iconic: Amaretti Morbidi, Baci di Sassello, and Canestrellini.
These delicacies are exported all around the world, thus spreading the region’s confectionery tradition to Europe, Australia, Japan, and the United States, a result made possible thanks to two sets of principles which have always characterised ADR’s business and the La Sassellese brand: artisan business and industry, combined with tradition and innovation, giving life to typical products made with the same techniques as always, but with the help of increasingly cutting edge technology.
This is then further enhanced by particular attention dedicated to product quality and an environmentally sustainably business model, guaranteed by various certifications.
For all of these reasons, the inauguration of the new facility is both a fantastic end point, but especially, looking towards the future, a significant starting point.
