Bake the World a Better Place

The food industry is at a crossroads. As we face increasing environmental challenges, the need for sustainable and innovative solutions has never been more urgent. At Agrain, we are driven by a singular mission: to reshape the food industry by upcycling spent grains into high-quality, functional flours that are not only better for the planet but also better for the people who consume them. Our approach goes beyond merely offering an alternative to traditional ingredients – it’s about changing the way we think about food production and waste.

Our Mission

Agrain is committed to reducing food waste and improving nutrition by turning spent grains, a byproduct of brewing, into nutrient-rich flours. This approach not only provides sustainable options for food manufacturers, bakeries, and home cooks but also supports a circular economy. From grain sourcing to eco-friendly production, transparency and responsibility guide every step of our process. At Agrain, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword – it’s the foundation of everything we do.

Values That Drive Us

Our work is defined by innovation, sustainability, and transparency:

  • Innovation: We constantly push boundaries in food production, addressing food waste and creating new opportunities for businesses and consumers.
  • Sustainability: By integrating eco-friendly practices, we aim to minimize waste and improve environmental responsibility.
  • Transparency: We prioritize traceability, ensuring customers can make informed choices about their food and its origins.

Functional Flours That Redefine Baking

Agrain’s upcycled flours are versatile, nutrient-rich, and easy to integrate into countless recipes. High in fiber (50%) and protein (20%), these flours offer unique benefits for both health-conscious consumers and eco-minded businesses.

By replacing 10–15% of regular flour with spent grain flour, you enhance nutrition while reducing your carbon footprint. Traditional wheat flour production requires significant farmland and resources. By using spent grain flour, you save up to 2 square meters of farmland per kilogram – a sustainable and impactful choice.

Our flours are perfect for everything from artisanal breads and pastries to pizza crusts and pasta. They add depth of flavor, nutritional value, and sustainability to your creations, giving your products a competitive edge in the market.

Sustainability at Agrain

At Agrain, sustainability is our DNA and at the heart of everything we do. By producing flour from grains that have already been used in brewing, we contribute to significant food waste reduction. 1 kg of spent grain flour saves 2 square meters of farmland, reducing the need for additional agricultural inputs. Our eco-friendly practices also minimize energy and water consumption, while our supply chain reflects our commitment to responsible sourcing and production.

Shaping the Future of Food

At Agrain, innovation drives our vision of a more sustainable food system. We’re constantly exploring new ways to enhance our products’ sustainability and nutritional benefits, aiming to create functional ingredients that support future generations.

The future of food lies in solutions that prioritize environmental and human health. Agrain is proud to lead this change, offering ingredients that empower bakers, chefs, and manufacturers to innovate responsibly.
