4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia is an Agricultural Cooperative born in 1967 thanks to a group of local farmer and its name derives from a catholic pillar with 4 Virgin Mary depicted on its four sides, located close to the dairy.
Thanks to different incorporation during the years, today it is a medium/big reality among the Parmigiano Reggiano POD producers.
In May 2012 the heart quake which took place in Emilia affected both a dairy and the main headquarter in Modena.
In April 2014, the new headquarter was opened with a new production plan, new aging dept. and a new shop.
Afterwards, the destroyed dairy was built and also its stocking dept. was expanded allowing today to 4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia to produce a total of 100.000 wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano in 5 different dairies, located between Modena e Reggio Emilia provinces, both over the Apennines and on Po Valley with more than 60 farmers, shareholders of the Cooperative. Production is divided into different Parmigiano Reggiano biodiversity: Parmigiano Reggiano POD, ORGANIC Parmigiano Reggiano, Parmigiano Reggiano “Product of Mountain”, RED COWS Parmigiano Reggiano.
Since 2019, 4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia expanded its presence between Modena and Reggio Emilia provinces with 8 shops and an online shop service allowing the dairy to reach final consumers in Italy and all over Europe.
In addition, at the headquarter in Modena, 4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia offers GUIDED TOURS every morning to show the production of Parmigiano Reggiano.
