WINES OF EXCELLENCE RESULTING FROM AN IMPORTANT AND DEEP EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD

Nativ was born in 2011, fruit of devotion of the owners Mario Ercolino and Roberta Pirone. The name Nativ derives from the Latin “Nativus”, chosen to evoke the close link of the historic vineyards with the territory.

We are in Campania, in the past identified as “Campania Felix”, because of the extraordinary fertility of the soil, enough to become the land of the “wines of the emperors”. The wine cellar rises on a promontory of Irpinia in Contrade San Quirico, in Paternopoli, a place with an important agricultural heritage.

Our land is an ancient territory, inhabited by the Greeks during the VII century B.C. who started the first cultivations of grapes and brought to Italy Dionysus’cult and his bacchae, making this land the homeland of “Vitis Ellenico” from which Aglianico’s name derives.

With the advent of Christianity, Paternopoli became the refuge of hermit fathers: extraordinary farmers who over the years have been able to select the best vineyards, further perfecting the organoleptic characteristics of our wines.

The Nativ cellar is a real historical heritage that narrates a long winemaking tradition: to the east it is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, around Aglianico vineyards, behind it stands an ancient ruin brought to light which marks the passage of the first Catholic churches built in the year 1100.

What was supposed to be a family-run creature is today a company that has a total production of one million bottles divided into various types: taurasi, greco, fiano, falanghina and various blends.

The cellar uses innovative and cutting-edge technological processes, both for the management of the vineyards and for the management of the new generation bottling line (it produces 8000 bt/hour).

It is particularly attentive to the use of technologies with zero environmental impact at the same time, such as rainwater recycling systems, renewable energy sources and low carbon dioxide production plants.

The added value of the company lies in the protection of the winemaking and historical heritage handed down and in the use of innovative management systems with a very low corporate impact.
