For Over 60 Years Every Taste Is A Story To Tell

This year is the anniversary of the 60th year of activity of “La Sassellese” and we are happy to remember the small, great stages that have characterized this history. A story born in Sassello, which has allowed the extraordinary qualities of this territory to become known.

Every recipe created and transmitted here, in fact, represents not only a typical specialty but also a value to be preserved. It is in this territory that, in 1961, “La Sassellese”, a pastry shop specialized in the production of smooth Amaretto, was founded. Since then, the range of products has grown with Baci, Canestrelli, and Canestrellini, the latter invented by the founder of “La Sassellese”. In sixty years the company has expanded its spaces and modernized its production methods, to the point of having three  production  plants  open  in the town of Sassello.

Loyalty to tradition has remained unchanged with the continuous search for quality in raw materials and manufacturing processes. Sixty years of recognized and certified precision. The exciting journey has made “La Sassellese” capable of reinterpreting ancient recipes according to modern intuitions. As in the case of Canestrellini inspired by the traditional Ligurian Canestrello, here are the new products that will be launched on the market this year: Baci al Burro and Nuvoletti with no added sugar. The latter, in particular, represents a novelty dedicated to those who are always looking for harmony between taste and well-being. T he historic company decided to celebrate the anniversary with an update of the brand. The logo has been modified in the lower part, with the introduction of a “sixty” made up of a six and an outline of a Canestrellino, the icon which most identifies the company.

This symbol will accompany the institutional communication campaign throughout the year: “For sixty years every taste is a story to tell”. For the coming years, “La Sassellese” plans to continue on its path, investing in research in terms of production and communication. The Vinci al Volo competition in 2019, the launch of e-commerce in 2020 and the new references in 2021 are an example of the continuous desire to amaze.

At Sassello, they have many new ideas in store. The three key values are and always will be: quality, tradition, and industrial innovation, ingredients of a recipe that will never lose its flavor.
