COLUMBUS is a private company in the hands of the Romano Freddi family in Mantova. Some tomato producing organisations hold a minority participation. COLUMBUS processes in its only facility in Parma 150’000 tons annually of fresh tomatoes. The company is specialised in the production of tomato based products and of finished products for third parties, aside from a complete product line under private labels. COLUMBUS is capable of producing and personalising: Tomato Puree, traditional and rustic Chopped Tomatoes and Polpa Fine, Natural and Flavoured Ready-to eat Tomato Sauces
