100 years of Lambrusco Lombardini: A centenary of quality and innovation

When talking about Cantine Lombardini, one cannot help but recall a heritage of now 100 years of history, intertwined with passion, innovation and an unconditional love for Lambrusco.

In 1925, grandfather Angelo founded Cantine Lombardini in the historical centre of Novellara, still located in the original premises. A century of history and four generations, but it is not only history that makes us unique: what distinguishes our work in the world of Lambrusco is constant qualitative improvement. The search for more advanced technologies has led us to an avant-garde production system, inspired by the
techniques used for great red wines.

Our winery is the only one in the Lambrusco scene to use a production system typical of areas outside our region, a method that has its roots with GAI in Alba, Piedmont. This strategic investment has enabled us to significantly improve the longevity of our Lambrusco wines, while keeping their freshness and elegance intact, qualities that are clearly evident in the awards we have received.

One of the most important moments in our recent history dates back to 2019, when Il Campanone brought Lambrusco to the podium of the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC), the most prestigious international competition dedicated to bubbles. For the first time, Lambrusco won a place of honour alongside the great names of the wine world, demonstrating that our wine not only competes, but excels globally with its uniqueness.

In Italy, too, our Lambruscos continue to receive top accolades, confirming our dedication to quality. Each bottle tells our story and our commitment to a product that is a symbol of our territory and our vision, striving for excellence.
