This year La Scolca will reach its 102nd harvest! The company continues to look toward the future, to new projects and new investments.

The past 102 years bear witness to our identity commitment, courage and unconventional choices… looking ahead and arriving at the future, without betraying our origins – as we have always done since 1919, the year the company was founded. A century of investments in the Gavi region of Piedmont, an area in which we have firmly believed, without compromise and with the desire to innovate and grow.
And it is in this way that we will go forward. The goal of La Scolca is to excite and enchant our customers through its wines. Over the past four generations our family has transformed the Cortese grape into an important resource for Gavi, a region with many agricultural challenges. We have worked around these difficulties and have rendered the territory unique and generous. This entrepreneurial approach has led to a visionary outcome. Wine is passion, waiting, and attention to detail – when put together, the wines that result are truly amazing because of how the delicate scent contrasts with strong character, a great personality, exceptional and unique.
“ The La Scolca® estate vineyards are found in the most beautiful areas of Rovereto. Dry sea air, full sun from sunrise to sunset, fresh air – these are the atmospheric elements in our region that, when combined correctly, lead to the ideal conditions for the ripening of the grapes, an indispensable prerequisite for good wine.
Gavi Dei Gavi® is the maximum expression of the wine produced in this area, awarded countless times by international authorities such as Wine Spectator, Decanter and James Suckling. At the time of the purchase of the Estate, 100 years ago, it was a well studied intuition to plant Cortese vineyards in an area exclusively dedicated to the cultivation of red grape vineyards: production soon became a leading agricultural and business activity.
Today La Scolca is the oldest company in the area, due to the continuity of management by the Soldati family. At the same time, it is also the most contemporary and innovative producer. 102 years, 101 harvests genuine Italian excellence.
