Heritage, a distinctive production philosophy, and international recognition have established this historic winery as one of the most respected ambassadors of Italian winemaking.
Nestled in the heart of Franciacorta, Freccianera stands among the most distinguished producers of Italy’s traditional-method sparkling wines. Its identity is rooted in the perfect balance between a rich historical legacy and a contemporary approach to winemaking, resulting in a refined vision that has positioned the brand as a respected and prestigious partner for wine professionals worldwide.

The winery traces its origins back to 1927, when Antonio Berlucchi laid the foundations of the estate. In 1969, Freccianera became one of the pioneering wineries in the region to produce traditional-method sparkling wines, playing a significant role in the establishment of the Franciacorta appellation.
Today, Freccianera maintains complete control over every stage of production, from its estate-owned vineyards to bottling. Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, ensuring meticulous selection and an authentic expression of the territory.
This philosophy is reflected in a portfolio of seven labels: four vintage cuvées—Extra Brut, Satèn, Rosé and Nature— alongside two Casa delle Colonne Riserva wines, and Brut 25, a Blanc de Blancs that has become one of the winery’s most widely distributed and sought-after labels among leading restaurants and hospitality professionals.
With an annual production exceeding 300,000 bottles, Freccianera is featured in prestigious restaurants, hotels and wine merchants throughout Italy, across key European markets and in the United States. The winery’s signature style is defined by elegance, balance and remarkable versatility, qualities that make its wines equally suited to by-the-glass programs and refined fine-dining pairings.

This year, Freccianera further strengthened its international reputation with one of the wine industry’s highest accolades.
Freccianera Satèn 2002 was named among the Top 50 Wines in the World at the Decanter World Wine Awards, receiving the coveted Best in Show distinction and standing as the only Italian sparkling wine included in the selection.
The winery’s six other Franciacorta wines also received awards, with the two “Casa delle Colonne” Riserva cuvées both achieving a Gold Award.
The award confirms the outstanding quality of the winery’s production and its ability to compete alongside the world’s finest prestige cuvées.
