The Art Of Producing Olive Oil

Tuttofood 2019 is the ideal stage to introduce the excellence of Italian production of oil from olives to foreign markets, but also to let know all the tradition and innovation values that olive farms and artisan oil companies represent.

At Fiera Milano on Monday 6 May in pavilion no. 5, stand L02.L10, will start a wonderful showcase dedicated to the made in Italy agri-food, with all the extra-virgin olive oils of the Artisan Oil Mills Consortium: the flagships will be the extra-virgin olive oils by the oil masters Piero Gonnelli, Stefano Caroli, Giampaolo Sodano, Sabino Angeloro, Ciro D’Erchie, Domenico Fazari, Raffaele Sallemi.

In order to meet the major buyers of the national and international market, the Artisan Oil Mills Consortium and Italia Olivicola will bring to Tuttofood the olive oil companies known for the art of producing oil from olives and the olive farms known for the cultivation of quality olives.
Guests will be welcomed with a toast at the Oilbar and will be able to participate to olive oil tastings, meetings with producers, and movie projections, to better understand the capacity of growing olives and the ability in transforming olives, but above all to know a group of companies able to guarantee to consumers a good, healthy and nutritious product at the right price.

To allow visitors to enjoy the Italian olive oils, the chefs Daniele Paralovo and Natalizio Emanuele will prepare hors d’oeuvres, finger food and pasta dishes using the products of all the companies in a true gourmet experience!
The Consortium with the Master Olive Oil Association, the Italian Oil Miller Association, Italia Olivicola, Confartigianato and the University of Bari will assign the Special Award “Mastrod’oro”, an original sculpture bronze made and gold-plated, created by the artist Alessandro Romano, for the Olive Oil Master that over the years has distinguished itself for the production of high quality olive oils, for the biodiversity and typicality defense, for the territory development and the environment respect, for innovation and research commitment, for the defense of consumers rights to have good, healthy and nutritious food.

The Award aims to promote an olive oil market guaranteed by the transparency and traceability of the production chain, recognizing the consumer rights, also through the enhancement of the Professional Register of Olive Oil Masters created by the Puglia Region, which recognized the artisan olive oil company as a production unit of oil from olives, with the law n. 9 of 2014.
The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 7th May at 3 pm in the pavilion no. 5, into the stand of the Consortium, after the assignment of the plates for the best oils of 2018/2019 season of the artisan oil mills. Mr. Alessandro Romano will attend the ceremony.
