From A Small Business Idea To An International Company

The history of Italpizza began in 1991, when the President and CEO, Cristian Pederzini, founded the company in San Donnino, in the province of Modena. In a few years, thanks to his great entrepreneurial vision, passion and audacity, Mr Pederzini gave birth to the first company specializing in the production of high-quality frozen pizzas, thus becoming a leading producer worldwide.

From the very beginning Italpizza has focused its mission on full satisfaction of its customers, through constant and consistent technological investments, aimed at increasing its production capacity, while maintaining unaltered the traditional characteristics of Italian pizza: a slow rising for the dough (at least 24h), manual topping and filling, baking in real oakwood or beechwood ovens.
Today Italpizza can count on more than 900 employees, allowing the company to export to 55 countries, producing more than 500,000 pizzas a day both under its own brand and as Private Label for the world’s leading retailers, with a growing turnover since 2007 that now exceeds 127 million euros.

In 2014 the company launched a new format of pizza on the Italian market, the so-called “26×38” rectangular pizza, which has become a benchmark in the market, creating a new category of product that helped to attract new consumers who weren’t used to purchasing frozen pizza.
The “rectangular pizza” has become a successful trend, thanks to the positive feedback from the consumers, enabling Italpizza to gain almost 18% market share in the category of large pizzas in Italy in less than four years.

This year a new 12×30 format was launched; this single rectangle Italpizza is already obtaining remarkable success and excellent sales results as suggested by the first charts.
