A “natural source of wellbeing” that has flowed in the Tuscan hills around Montopoli in Val d’Arno and San Miniato since 1932. Tesorino water rises in the countryside around Montopoli Val d’Arno (Pisa) in an unspoilt and protected environment, far from urban and industrial developments. By 1932, Sorgente Tesorino spring water had already become known as health-giving water and was esteemed by physicians for its purifying and therapeutic qualities.
In 1941, the Sorgente Tesorino company was founded, and it began bottling this water for sale in Tuscany. Initially, the bottling process was carried out by hand. The mineral aquifer of the spring was and still is mostly composed of fine sands dating back to the Pliocene epoch, some 15 million years ago, which help give the water a balanced mineral salt content. In the Pliocene, the Montopoli area was submerged by the sea, and when it receded in later eras, it left behind shells and sands with the ability to filter and mineralize water.

Sorgente Tesorino is more specifically a bicarbonate-sulphate-alkaline-earth water and is thus characterised by high concentrations not only of calcium and magnesium but also of bicarbonate and sulphate. This balanced mineral composition makes it suitable for supplementing the diet from infancy through to advanced age and makes it particularly beneficial during physical activity.
