Many memories have been passed down from generation to generation, which are linked to the harvest and crushing of grapes: it\u2019s a long story about hard work and passion for the land.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a story that is often written by women, either through choice or destiny.The Baraccone Winery gets its name from the place near Folignano (near Ponte dell\u2019Olio), where a winery was founded at the start of the nineteenth century. It continued working in an amateur way for about a century and the oldest vineyards are still to be found there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the past, itinerant merry-go-rounds and circus performers set up their shows here (baraccone means merry-go-round in the Piacenza dialect). It is these memories that have given shape to the winery\u2019s trademark, which depicts a juggler.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fact that how good a wine is depends on the work in the vineyard guides our choices in the cellar. All the winemaking operations aim to maintain the quality of the raw materials and to make wines that express the natural characteristics of the grapes and place, depending on the vintage.The management of the cellar is entrusted to the winemaker Stefano Testa, who, having followed the winery\u2019s progress right from the start, has determined its constant and steady growth. Intervention on the must and wines is always sound and essential. The winemaking equipment itself is extremely limited, because work in the cellar is almost all done by hand and because most of our investments are made in the vineyard.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Production<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our wines: Zagaia, Sparkling Gutturnio DOC R\u00ec More, Gutturnio DOC Superiore Colombaia, Gutturnio DOC Riserva Ronco Alto, Filibl\u00f9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Loc.
