The story of the Accordini Igino winery began in 1821, in the heart of Valpolicella, an area with strong and deeply rooted traditions of viticulture and vinification. It is a passion that began with an inheritance: three hectares of vineyards, the grapes of which were used to make wine only for the family, which loved passing the spring and their spare time in the cru called “Le Bessole”.
Over the years the production increased in quantity and above all quality, thanks also to the introduction of new Corvina plants, a fundamental grape variety for Valpolicella Classico. The Accordini Iginio winery, which made its appearance in the 60s, produced high quality wines, the first bottle for the market being a rich and fragrant Amarone with an important, embracing personality and superior organoleptic characteristics.
The success story from family production to national and international marketing started here, thanks to the untiring and careful work of Guido Accordini, Iginio’s son, and his wife Liliana, who guided the company towards enological innovation without forgetting tradition. The love of viticulture and vinification has passed through the family, with Ilaria, Guido and Liliana’s daughter, bringing her experience and skills in marketing and foreign languages to the winery in order to develop business in foreign markets.
